Mr Visoso joined Riverstone’s Mexico office in 2021, his specific transactional experience includes investments in Energia Real, VEMO and ENAV Offshore.
Mr. Visoso in an accomplished executive with substantial experience analyzing, structuring, negotiating and managing investments and divestments, with a successful track-record defining and implementing strategic priorities, and collaborating with top management to improve company’s performance. He has significant fundraising (including structuring private equity funds through multiple vehicles), fund management, M&A, financing (including mezzanine financing) and IPO experience across industries.
Prior to joining Riverstone, he was a partner at SMPS Legal, where he focused his practice on private equity, M&A, and structured financing transactions. Prior to joining SMPS Legal, Juan was a Managing Partner and General Counsel of one of Mexico`s largest and most active private equity managers, where he spent 12+ years and developed an unparallel combination of legal experience, robust business acumen and creative problem-solving capabilities, participating in the fundraising of 4 private equity funds, 40+ M&A transactions and 5 IPOs. Mr. Visoso began his career at White & Case, were he participated in several M&A and Securities transactions.
Mr. Visoso received his law degree from the Escuela Libre de Derecho in Mexico City and an M.B.A. from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
