Prior to joining Riverstone in 2019, Mr. Prentice worked at J.P. Morgan for twelve years in a number of different roles within Asset Management in Geneva and New York. At J.P. Morgan, he oversaw Alternative Investments for Europe and the Middle East, led the Investments Team for the Swiss market, was a Client Portfolio Manager in the Institutional Alternatives Solutions Group and was a Senior Investment Specialist for the Global Families Group at the Private Bank, covering international and cross-border clients.
Before joining JP Morgan, Mr. Prentice was a founding member of Brightstream Asset Management in New York, a global long/short equity hedge fund invested in cyclical industries leveraged to natural resources. Prior to this, Mr. Prentice spent three years in the Private Client Services group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Mr. Prentice began his career after university at Christie’s and Sotheby’s auction houses, where he worked in Trusts & Estates.
Mr. Prentice graduated from Georgetown University, where he earned both his B.A. and M.B.A. (McDonough School of Business) degrees.
