Diego Garcia

Mr. Garcia is a Managing Director of Riverstone and a member of the Family Capital Group. He is based in New York.

In addition to his role at Riverstone Holdings, Diego acts as an advisor to Conservation International (CI), a non-profit seeking to protect nature that we rely on for food, fresh water and livelihoods. At CI, Diego consults with the CEO, board, and senior leadership on innovative strategies that link brand and media opportunities with investment and partnership opportunities. 

Prior to his work at Riverstone and CI, Diego founded a beverage company, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Conservation International’s work in the Brazilian Amazon. 

Diego began his professional career as an acclaimed recording artist releasing his first album in 2003 as the lead singer and songwriter for the rock band Elefant (Universal/Hollywood Records). Diego continues his music career today as a published songwriter with BMG releasing records under his own name. His albums include the critically acclaimed Laura and Paradise released on Concord Music Group. Diego has performed at Coachella, and been featured in numerous media outlets including NPR, MTV, Vogue, CNN's, The Jimmy Kimmel show, among others. Diego holds a BA in Economics from Brown University. 

He lives in New York City with his wife Laura and three children, two of whom attend the Lycee Francais.
